REMEMBER ADAM THOMLISON? A former writer for Frank magazine, Thomlison was part of the duo who got their parliamentary press passes revoked for proving how easy it was to break into private offices there a few years back. Thomlison will be reading from his new collection of short stories, We Were Writers for Disastrous Love Affairs Magazine, at End Hits Records, 407 Dalhousie, Thursday, August 10, at 7:30 p.m. DJ Sheamus (who was the other part of the duo) will be spinning records at the event, and The Expatriates, half of whom recently moved to Montreal, will have their last performance as an Ottawa-based band. Cover for the event is $5 and another $5 will buy you the book. Check out www.40wattspotlight.com for more.
